We know that leagues are one of the most exciting ways to experience pickleball. The competition, the camaraderie, the chance to improve your game—it’s no wonder demand for new leagues is skyrocketing!

But there’s one big challenge: not enough players have an official Pickleball Rating. Without accurate ratings, it’s tough to match players of similar skill levels and create a great experience for everyone.

Pickleball 901 is here to change that.

We’re excited to launch our brand new “Join a League, Get a FREE DUPR Rating” promotion to help make league play more accessible, enjoyable, and well-matched for all players.

Here’s the deal: to compete in any of our leagues, you’ll need an official DUPR Rating. Think of it as your pickleball "player score"—it levels the playing field, helps us match you with players of similar skill, and makes every game more exciting.

Until now, you’ve needed to pay separately for a DUPR rating session before joining a league, which added extra cost and an extra step. While this helped us start creating better matchups, we understand it is a bit of a hassle.

But from now through March 1st, when you sign up for a league, your DUPR rating session will  be included for FREE (a $30 value, but now it’s on us). No need to pay for this separately—it’s included when you join a league.

How It Works:

1.. Sign Up for a League: Click the big green button below to register for a league that fits your schedule and perceived skill level (described below). **We have removed the DUPR Rating Requirement for registration.**

• 2.0-2.49 Skill Level: “I’m just getting started with pickleball, learning the basic rules, scoring, and positioning, and I’m working on consistently hitting the ball over the net during practice and casual play."

• 2.5-2.99 Skill Level: "I can sustain rallies of 5-7 shots, consistently serve and return inbounds, and I’m starting to understand basic court positioning and when to move forward."

• 3.0-3.49 Skill Level: "I can hit serves, returns, and volleys consistently, sustain longer rallies with improved control, and I’m beginning to execute basic dinks and attempt third-shot drops in game situations."

• 3.5-3.99 Skill Level: "I have solid control over most shots, including dinks and third-shot drops, can vary my shot placement intentionally, and I’m starting to anticipate my opponents’ strategies while holding my position at the kitchen line."

2. Get Your DUPR Rating: A team member from Pickleball 901 will reach out to schedule your free DUPR rating session (six scored round robin games to assess your skill level).

3. Start Competing: With your official DUPR rating in hand, you’ll be ready to jump into the league and face some fun competition!

With this promotion, we’re making it easier (and cheaper!) to jump into organized league play.
