Nick Wiseman

Nick Wiseman has always had a passion for paddle sports. Growing up as a competitive junior tennis player, he was a singles state runner-up and went on to play college tennis at Christian Brothers University. Alongside tennis, Nick also enjoyed playing ping pong, further sharpening his skills with a paddle.

About five years ago, his dad introduced him to pickleball, and it quickly became a perfect fit, helping him get back in shape after college. Initially, Nick was drawn to pickleball for a personal reason—he weighed about 285 pounds and was working a finance job when he realized he needed to lose weight. Pickleball became his outlet, and he’s incredibly thankful his dad got him out on the court. Not only did it help him regain his fitness, but it also reignited his competitive spirit.

As Nick honed his pickleball skills, he began competing with some of the best players in Memphis, eventually taking his game to the next level in Florida, where he trained and played in tournaments. Over the past two years, he’s accumulated more than 20 pro pickleball wins, cementing his place as a competitive force in the sport.

For Nick, the best part about pickleball is the mental release it offers. “Life can be a lot,” he says, “but when I get on the court and I’m playing with other players, everything else fades, and I’m just in the moment.”

After exploring a few different career paths post-college, Nick found his dream job working in pickleball. He now serves as the Director of Programming and store manager at Pickleball 901, where he shares his love of the game, helping others improve while continuing to grow his own passion for the sport.
